Perfect for a long term stay. I made use of the laundry while I was there which was great since that allowed me to pack light. There is a kitchenette with an electric burner, a microwave, and a fridge with a freezer. Housekeeping cleans once per week.

Very well located. The room has a good space and the beds also good. The staff are very kindly.

Extended Suites are a bit like the British Premier Inn or Travelodge so no character really but you know what you’re getting. The Merida hotel is brand new and a carbon copy of the Cancun extended suites. It’s a little far out of Merida but right next to an enormous supermarket which is brilliant. Traveling with my 3 year old daughter, I stayed 2 nights and it was very convenient. We drove into the Old Town to visit. The hotel is very clean and simple. We loved (and used a lot) the laundry room - 50 pesos for a token which can be used for washing or drying machines. The fridge and kitchenette was useful. Depending on when you book, the price is very competitive vs for example the Holiday Inn you can see from your window! I would recommend it for families.
